In the 1770's, Leotie waits for the day that Keme will ask her to be his life-bond. If only he didn't believe he's a coward. His father wants him to be a warrior, but he hates it. So what if he secretly trains to be a healer? He's so much more interesting than the other young men.
Then one day, outlanders come and give her people an ultimatum - to leave their home or die. Soon her tribe is going to war with an unpredictable enemy. Leotie wasn't born to stay home and string beads. She's a hunter and a warrior who gets a chance to defend her people. She goes out into the battle, but doesn't make it back. At least, not as a human. Leotie comes back to life as something quite different. Her tribe calls them skin walkers. The outlanders call them werewolves. She fears what Keme will think of her now. Someone did this to her, but who?
Native Shifter will take you into the past for a fast-paced romantic escape.

I haven't formed an opinion yet on this book. It starts out slowly and I set it down several times but decided to finish it. Marcus has the power to turn the recently dead into shifters but is a total power hungry jerk. The main characters are naive and lack confidence. About 3/4 of the way through it started to gain rhythm. I'd give it an OK.Product details

Native Shifter Freedom Shifters Book 1 eBook Cindy Borgne Reviews
I really enjoyed this book. The story will draw you in and you won't be able to put down the book. I recommend reading the prequel first and then the books in order. The author, Cindy Borgne, did an excellent job on this series.
The story seems to drag on. Maybe this is just that kind of story, but it doesn't seem as realistic as it could be.
I loved the story, the twists and turns, detailed descriptions, but the typographical errors, poor grammar and spelling, distracted from the tale. It was disappointing.
An excellent book. I did not want to put it down. I will read all the books in this series!
I really enjoyed this book,I would recommend this book highly. A great Native American book, it tells of their struggles, how their lands were taken and how they were treated. People talk about their treatment but the greatest injustice is to the Native Americans.
Every fan of the genre would enjoy this book. It joins Native American lore with the popular werewolf craze. It is well written with interesting characters and a great story line.
Mixing a little sci-fi with history made the story intriguing. It tugged on all the human emotions to the point I wanted to cheer or maybe cry. Excellent job on all fronts!
